CV/Bio

Growing up in Scotland, Shireen had the advantage of an educational system that put great emphases on the Arts: Music, literature and art were taught daily. Close proximity to Glasgow Art Museums, Stirling and Edinburgh Castles ensured many trips and educational lectures. In her early teens, Shireen traveled extensively with her family, visiting museums in London, Brussels, Bruges and Warsaw. Her Celtic heritage brought with it the lore and connection to nature and Mother Earth, and a strong bond with horses and dogs.
After immigrating to the States, close proximety to Boston museums, and those of Cambridge and Peabody expanded her knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts.
Relocating to the southwest, she visited the art galleries of Sedona, Scottsdale, Santa Fe, Madrid and Albuquerque.
Shireen started painting at a young age, but it was not until she finally settled in Arizona, at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains that she finally was able to devote herself to painting fulltime.
